What are the real chances of an asteroid hitting Earth?

We are certainly not ready if there were an asteroid detected on collision course right now. Efforts are being made such as the AIDA mission in 2022, joint effort between NASA and ESA! There are a few principles here: - Big Sky principle such as often referred to by pilots. I've been there...

A video made by me about space and the loneliness in the universe

technically true, but isn’t it near impossible to get there without even HITTING the tiniest speck of space dust? Hitting in all caps because I would guess it would obliterate the precious space craft. This is the conundrum about traveling at lightspeed. If we could... we still can’t safely...

    Interstellar Asteroid Mission

Absolutely! There are some significant technological challenges to be overcome such as ease of navigation (in space), low-cost spacecraft etc., but setting a challenge like this can provide another push of research and development in the right direction :)

How is it possible to view the beginning of the Universe in every direction on Earth

Another interesting phenomena preventing from seeing the whole universe is that the extremes get away from each other faster than the speed of light. However with the universe expanding faster than thought earlier, there is a lot we don't know yet about our wonderful universe

SpaceX's Starship SN5 prototype soars on 1st test flight! 'Mars is looking real,' Elon Musk says

Did you see the fire on the engine towards the end of the flight? At about 40 secs in this video: https://www.space.com/spacex-starship-sn5-prototype-1st-test-flight.html Didn't look quite intended...? Must be hot under there

SpaceX's Starship SN5 prototype soars on 1st test flight! 'Mars is looking real,' Elon Musk says

Very nice - you can clearly see the application of Falcon development, into this prototype... with some R&D borrowed from the Leaning Tower of Pisa :p

SpaceX Crew Dragon makes historic 1st splashdown to return NASA astronauts home

Agreed - thought it was disrespectful! But can understand the curiosity at the same time :)

Boaters gatecrash SpaceX's 1st splashdown with astronauts. 'We need to do better,' NASA chief says

Yes , I wondered about that one too when I saw the capsule bobbing in the ocean --- a pretty ancient and awkward way to recover Astronauts! When compared to the modern landing boosters at least. I appreciate though that it requires significant extra fuel to steer the capsule back to land as...

Question What's your most anticipated celestial event or upcoming space launch?

The DART test by NASA and ESA combined is one that I'm certainly looking forward to! (DART = Double Asteroid Redirection Test) Agreed that the recent launch to Mars is quite exciting too
