Exploring Venus may require exotic tech like balloons and 'aerobots

What's the urgency to understand the Venusian atmosphere's development? To avoid a similar hadian fate? To understand past or present habitability? I'm a fan of planetary exploration either way!

Exploring Venus may require exotic tech like balloons and 'aerobots

Leonard always has fun articles. Interesting subject matter(s).

When is an asteroid not an asteroid? When it's Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster, it turns out.

Indeed, and I'll reserve excitement pending applications of it. Point being, it's still more interesting and newsworthy than lamenting the existence of a single Tesla Roadster in orbit.

When is an asteroid not an asteroid? When it's Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster, it turns out.

This is the headliner for today? Not the article about a newly discovered form of magnetism?

James Webb Space Telescope discovers one of the earliest 'truly gargantuan' supernovas ever seen

"The first generation of stars, known as Population III stars (not Population I stars as you'd expect, maybe), was born from overdense patches in this ingredient-light cosmic soup." In my mind, I had just wondered aloud: "Huh, I wonder why the first gen is referred to as Population III" right...

Europe plans to launch advanced Mars lander in 2035

This ESA "precision lander" is uncrewed, but yes, SpaceX will likely be landing boots before ESA lands a lander. They (ESA) are so woefully far behind in this multipolar space race, and so woefully unambitious. They're entirely unserious about space in general.

Boeing needs to improve quality-control work on SLS moon rocket, NASA Inspector General finds

Interestingly enough, it's only at a Japanese tier one automotive supplier that I was trained in the ways of Demming. Haven't heard a peep about him since working at American, German, and British employers. It's discouraging.

Boeing needs to improve quality-control work on SLS moon rocket, NASA Inspector General finds

I actually think Gwynne Shotwell is valued correctly as the powerhouse that she is. I'm also partial to fellow auto industry alum -- including the legendary W. Edwards Deming -- but I have seen a fair amount of coverage praising her work in various outlets.

NASA could send Boeing Starliner astronauts home on SpaceX Dragon

I love Elon, but Gwynne is definitely a rock star too. She deserves more praise than she gets.

US Space Force will make history when SpaceX's Crew-9 mission launches in September

Bob Lazar has been wrong about everything and it's ridicu....never mind. I've been told not to feed the trolls, a lesson I ought to have learned by now.

No, Boeing Starliner's NASA astronauts are not stranded in space. Here's why.

Which has been confirmed by the past 24 hours' news.

Collins backs out of ISS spacesuit contract with NASA

I wonder if Axiom will be picking up the slack, or if this means onboarding a new supplier (a disconcerting thought). I can't imagine anyone can start from scratch and beat Collins' timeline. NASA must have a back-up plan running in parallel to the latest talks with Collins.
