NASA switches off Voyager instruments to extend life of the two interstellar spacecraft 'Every day could be our last.

Weight is always at a premium for a space craft. I imagine the RTGs were as large as they could manage.

SpaceX loses Starship upper stage again, but catches giant Super Heavy booster during Flight 8 launch (video)

It bothers me. Their thinking feels to me as if they are too accepting of failure, and not trying hard enough to succeed. Is it cheaper to build another Starship, and blow it up, rather than do more thorough testing and modeling?

SpaceX loses Starship upper stage again, but catches giant Super Heavy booster during Flight 8 launch (video)

Beginning with the previous flight I am beginning to lose a bit of patience and respect for the Starship team. Harmonic effects as a possible cause of the previous failure probably should have been modeled, and maybe they were, incorrectly. To turn right around and lose another Starship under...

We are preparing to make history:' NASA's Parker Solar Probe gears up for epic sun flyby on Christmas Eve

This is a remarkable mission and I look forward to more discoveries from the upcoming close approach.

FAA requires investigation into SpaceX Falcon 9 landing failure

It looked as if a landing leg failed to deploy, or collapsed. Not sure what the FAA's concern is. The booster worked well until it was on the landing pad.

Can Starliner bring its astronauts home? Boeing, NASA test-fire spacecraft's engines at ISS

Explain how the chemical reactions are different in space. It is a simple hyperbolic system. Used for decades. And explain so I can understand "before is even lit, it is no longer a vacuum."

NASA could send Boeing Starliner astronauts home on SpaceX Dragon

    >>"SpaceX and Boeing are the two commercial crew providers for NASA<<" That statement certainly is not really true at this time. Three flights of Starliner and they still have not come to grips with their thruster system. 60 days ago I expected the crew would not leave the ISS on Starliner...

50 days after launch to ISS, Boeing's Starliner still has no landing date

There have been serious safety issues everytime the hardware has flown. At this point I am more concerned about seal failing than overheated thrusters or helium leaks.

50 days after launch to ISS, Boeing's Starliner still has no landing date

They have enough trouble without thinking about boosting the ISS.

SpaceX finds cause of Falcon 9 failure, eyes return to flight as soon as July 27

Good news. Now, if we could just convince people to stop referring to LOX as propellant.

Boeing's 1st Starliner astronaut mission return delayed to June 22

It would certainly be nice to have working thrusters for reentry, and a hatch that closes properly.
