This idea also could be another plot element (like the photon torpedos) in the Stark Trek TV series.

Most of these ideas are science fiction not science (that is, pseudo-science), but they are still interesting. The Star Trek TV series could have used some of these ideas as plot elements like they did with the phasers and matter transmission transporter technology.
