just.....wow. Do you think it was the amazing FX and the stellar acting that endeared ST throughout generations? Maybe it's easy to look back now and see things as, I don't know...'ho hum'? But back in the day TOS and TNG told many cutting edge stories, many penned by highly respected authors.

I agree. This series brought the spark of STAR TREK back and with each episode, I was marveling at how well made it was. That being said, I did feel like the finale was rushed at times, but I think about some of the things that happened on some episodes of Next Gen and I can forgive any...
