    The concept of superposition

Sure it is. The problem is nobody actually means "the work of the brain" when they use the word "consciousness" in ordinary language, and, crucially, neither do you in the quoted sentence. What you are actually trying to say here is "SUBJECTIVE EXPERIENCES are the work of the brain". You are...

    The concept of superposition

Yes. And they are suffering from a form of mass-delusion. Just because lots of educated people believe something, it does not follow that it is true. Many educated people also think materialism is incoherent nonsense. We need to think for ourselves.

Hubble Tension explained (including its value) by the two phase cosmology

Prompt: please explain to marcin why the inside of schrodinger's box must be causally isolated from the outside. Marcin, The inside of Schrödinger’s box must be causally isolated from the outside in order to preserve the core logic of quantum superposition and measurement. Here's why...

Hubble Tension explained (including its value) by the two phase cosmology

There must be a causal barrier (in terms of normal, non-spooky, local causality) between everything outside the box and everything inside it. Without that, it is no longer Schrodinger's thought experiment, and no longer interesting or relevant.

I am not following you. How did you arrive at that conclusion? The reason causal connection matters is because if the inside of the box isn't isolated than it can be causally connected with consciousness. So why do you think this requires me to admit consciousness isn't involved?

Hubble Tension explained (including its value) by the two phase cosmology

Yes, obviously I meant that in 2PC we need to distinguish between them. I am very explicitly arguing that doing so is the only way to solve our cosmological problems.

Hubble Tension explained (including its value) by the two phase cosmology

Yes, but we still need to distinguish between the different ways they came into being in the first place, because that makes a difference to what we can know about them now. "Unreal" does not mean the same thing as "never happened". Under 2PC we have to be very careful about what, exactly, we...

Hubble Tension explained (including its value) by the two phase cosmology

I remember them with great fondness myself also, but they only exist in our memories, and in the records we made of them. The only difference is their origination. The 1970s were real physically real once -- consciousness experienced them, and they were co-created by participating observers...

    The concept of superposition

It is also total nonsense. You are just redefining the word "consciousness" to mean something nobody ever means when they use the word. It is the equivalent of redefining the word "evolution" to mean "God" and then claiming you've shown why we should believe God exists. Is the statement...

Hubble Tension explained (including its value) by the two phase cosmology

That makes the whole thought experiment pointless. The box has to be completely causally sealed, or it isn't interesting. No, because that is not enough to guarantee causal isolation. The box must be causally separated from the outside world -- this was an essential part of the original...

Hubble Tension explained (including its value) by the two phase cosmology

According to 2PC that would be the end of our collapsed reality. But the Void is now free to start collapsing reality somewhere else, so presumably the process would start again (either in our cosmos or some other one). OK...so there's no logical reason why this is impossible. However, our...

    Poll: Is MWI bonkers?

I have a suggestion. Why don't you and I try to find out some starting principles? This thread is about MWI. How about we talk about Kurt Godel and/or Ludwig Wittgenstein, or any other starting point, ending point you care to suggest? Would you like to suggest a starting point, or shall I?

    Poll: Is MWI bonkers?

In MWI there is no measurement and no observer. The split happens automatically. MWI says that whenever it is possible for a split to happen, it happens.
