    NASA names Perseverance rover's Mars touchdown site 'Octavia E. Butler Landing'

    Thanks for letting me join! I am wondering why the Mars landing site was named for an author vs someone that actually contributed to the space program? Specifically, Katherine Johnson, or any & all of the "Hidden Figures"?
