    Why does it matter?

    To understand the Universe we need to understand Dark Matter and Dark Energy. Without understanding them we cannot understand a lot of other things either. Forgetting about them means wallowing in ignorance.

    A note on the Moon's albedo [~0.12] would be nice and that it is a very dark rock!

    I was disappointed when I read "how much moonlight the moon generates"! Had it been "reflects" I would not have thought twice about how easy misinformation gets propagated.
