SpaceX launches 60 Star satellites, aces rocket landing in milestone flight

Starlink may be spoiling the view of the night sky for astronomers but it's the price of progress. If the people at SpaceX deliver on their promise of cheap, accessible broadband then the rest of us will not be as upset. Having also shown their Falcon 9 rocket to be the American equivalent of...

Russian space official tests positive for coronavirus after attending Soyuz crew launch to space station

Watching NASA TV coverage of the pre launch preparations it was obvious some of the Russian rituals were not suspended. Specifically, the Soyuz MS 16 crew being manhandled by NASA and Roscosmos managers as they approached the Baikonur launchpad. No social distancing by these non essential...

Astronaut Anne McClain's estranged wife charged with lying about alleged 'space crime'

Anne McClain was a diversity hire and being part of a protected group (the alphabet people) will doubtless keep her job. But how NASA has sunk so low into gender and identity politics is embarrassing.

    I heard that it disintegrated.

'I'm in awe': NASA astronaut salutes coronavirus-fighting doctors and nurses from orbit

Amazed the crew of Meir, Morgan and Skripochka haven't refused to return to plague planet Earth. Yes, Soyuz MS 16 is launching soon with their Russian-U.S. replacements and Soyuz MS 15 is nearing the end of its life, but is it anymore riskier staying on board ISS than Wuhan Coronavirus? They...

NASA could have a timeline for Boeing's next Starliner flight by the end of the month

Has NASA acquiesced to the Boeing point of view that a few glitches are no big deal flying crew? No doubt U.S. taxpayers will absorb all of the associated costs for Boeing.

Watch how astronaut Jessica Meir, the only woman in space now, celebrated International Women's Day

Ever since NASA prioritised the objective of Artemis as putting the first woman on the Moon it's become obssessed with identity politics. Kinda lost all perspective and purpose :mask:

Elon Musk approves of the US Space Force, eyes 'Star Trek' potential

Sanders and Thunberg want to save the world for socialism not democracy. And since the majority of all those who support them have nothing positive to say about space travel, and progress in general, I fear for humanity's future.

Elon Musk approves of the US Space Force, eyes 'Star Trek' potential

Can you blame Musk? He's been pitching Starship to NASA and the Pentagon for years without success. When they both turned him down he went begging for investors, albeit unsuccessfully, from Saudi Arabia to Wall Street. The only outside funding Musk has got so far is from his Japanese lunar...

Boeing defends Starliner space capsule ground tests after problematic debut flight

I'm wondering if 'Mad' Mike Hughes ever asked Boeing for advice.

'Mad Mike' wasn't trying to prove 'flat Earth' theory on ill-fated homemade rocket launch

Tributes rightly for Katherine Johnson while Hughes is mocked. He just wanted to go higher and faster then the rest of us and paid the price. Preferable than dying in a hospital bed from old age.

'Mad Mike' Hughes, daredevil who built a homemade steam rocket, dies in launch attempt

Will he be honored on the Space Mirror at KSC, Fla for dead U.S. astronauts

SpaceX will launch space tourists on Crew Dragon for Space Adventures

Boeing's Starliner test flight had a 2nd critical software issue, NASA panel finds (report)

Boeing only now found out its entire code is suspect even though it won the contract in September 2014?! The blasé attitude of the Boeing rep wasn't convincing, so imagine being a spouse of the first CFT crew and hearing him. God help those who fly on Starliner.

House committee staff members defend NASA authorization bill

It's so anti Moon that it verges on lunacy. Mars should be left to robots until all the critical technology to sustain human life is perfected. And there is no better place for that than the Moon.
