Dark matter detected dangling from the cosmic web for 1st time

I agree it isn't a good explanation. I was just trying to see what Bwana's alternative theory to dark matter is, which he has failed to provide.

Dark matter detected dangling from the cosmic web for 1st time

Either dark matter exists or gravity is inconsistent. At the largest scales objects behave differently via gravity. What is your "small tweak?" You haven't even mentioned MOND.

Saturn's ocean moon Titan may not be able to support life after all

Take it easy there, buddy. I want there to be life swimming around in Titan's ocean too. This is just a study that is skeptical. At this point nobody knows.

OK, so what's your alternative theory? You need to do more than dismiss the prevailing one.

NASA's TESS telescope spots 6 exoplanets around 'misbehaving' toddler star

Yet more evidence for The Rare Earth hypothesis.

Is humanity prepared for contact with intelligent aliens?

I think scenario 3 is highly unlikely, while the first 2 are unlikely, at least in the foreseeable future. It would be interesting to see how religions reconcile their beliefs with such an event. Jesus, Moses, and Mohamed never mentioned aliens, after all. New and modified religions would likely...

Signs of life shooting from Saturn's moon Enceladus would be detectable by spacecraft, scientists say

You seem to be dismissing what would be one of the greatest discoveries of all time - life outside of Earth. That would be more than "one thing." It would be awesome. The next step would be to determine if it came from a separate (or the same) abiogenesis event as Earth life.

Interstellar astronauts would face years-long communication delays due to time dilation

Not to mention the dangers of running into a grain of sand at 90% light speed even if was possible. We are effectively alone and isolated. Breakthrough Starshot is an interesting concept though.

Interstellar astronauts would face years-long communication delays due to time dilation

Interesting video on the topic. Kipping thinks it can't work. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLqk7uaENAY

Earth-like planets may form even in harsh environments, James Webb Space Telescope finds

Also of note is how Earth seems to have a climate stabilizing feedback mechanism. That should extend it's habitability time frame. Dead worlds like Mars lack such.

Earth-like planets may form even in harsh environments, James Webb Space Telescope finds

Or not. It would take 1000s of yrs just to reach our nearest neighbor. Also, the term "habitable" only means there is potential for liquid water. Venus and Mars are in the habitable zone.

Interstellar meteor fragments found? Harvard astronomer's claim sparks debate, criticism

Right, but the ocean floor is dynamic and spherules are found through out the oceans.

Interstellar meteor fragments found? Harvard astronomer's claim sparks debate, criticism

How do we even know it's from the meteor ? It was nearly a decade ago.
