SpaceX's most-flown Falcon 9 rocket booster yet returns to Florida home port

I think SpaceX have done really well. All Earth to Orbit space craft need to be reusable. The next generation of Moon Landers should have the same reusability. They can dock at the Lunar Gateway and simply be refueled in orbit. The fuel pods could be launched on a Falcon9 from Earth and then get...

What does the Pentagon's new UFO task force mean? Experts weigh in.

But the Pentagon has looked into UFOs in the past. Project Sign, Grudge, Blue Book. There is a lot of UFO material which has been released by various other governments around the world. Over the last 50 years, there have been millions of UFO sightings. UFO is an unidentified flying object, just...

Blue Origin-led 'National Team' delivers mock-up moon lander to NASA for tests

I`ve looked at all of the landers and I'm really surprised by there size. The National Team and SpaceX will both have to use long ladders or lifts to get the astronauts to the surface, this is a huge risk. All of these systems look really complicated and expensive. It would be easier to build...

Question Are SpaceX helping NASA to get to the moon?

The moon is back on the radar which i think is good. I agree, the Falcon heavy will be need. But in general the artemis lunar gateway is an interesting concept. This is an interesting video. The Orion capsule seems to spend a lot of time moving between docking ports. View...

Don't expect NASA's 1st Artemis astronauts to drive on the moon in a fancy lunar car

I think its important that we actually return to the moon as planned. The Lunar gateway will provide the base infrastructure in the earlier years, the landers can be refueled from there. No point deploying a rover until you decide where you want to establish a base. Otherwise when the lander...

Question Are SpaceX helping NASA to get to the moon?

Hi everyone, I agree with Tariq. NASA Orion spacecraft will support the lunar missions which are being planned under project Artemis. Project Artemis is designed to lay the foundations for a lunar base. The Lunar Gateway will orbit the moon in order to provide a base for the lunar landers...

How To How AI Spacefactory Plans to Build Homes on Mars

Hi, i totally with agree with you. The long term goal, would be to make any Mars base self sufficient. Once there initial on-planet minerals surveys are complete, im sure they can find the right minerals to make the correct building products to feed there onsite 3D printers and robot...

Northrop Grumman snags $187 million to design NASA's lunar Gateway habitat for astronauts

Yes, im familiar with Project Eagle. Its an interesting idea, Blackbird Interactive were contacted by JPL. The final habitation modules for the first base will be built on the earth.. what after happen afterwards is another thing. Thou there is also talk of Nasa building a base in some of...

How To How AI Spacefactory Plans to Build Homes on Mars

In my opinion, any base on Mars will be built using prefabricated structures built on earth and then shipped to Mars. Small 3D printers and robots will be sent with the first missions to support it. I can`t see 3D Printers building specific habitation structure in the first few years as we will...

Northrop Grumman snags $187 million to design NASA's lunar Gateway habitat for astronauts

Hi, the last thing i saw about NASA going back to Mars was this news article. https://scitechdaily.com/nasa-wants-to-go-nuclear-on-the-moon-and-mars-for-astronaut-settlement/ I don't think chemical propulsion isn't practical. Scaled up Ion drives sounds a good move and i`m following that...

Northrop Grumman snags $187 million to design NASA's lunar Gateway habitat for astronauts

I think its good news that NASA is going ahead with the Gateway station. Having a small space station in orbit increases the program flexibility as any lunar landers can be based there. Thou, i can see them have two landers docked to the gateway. This station could become a very large structure.

    Achieving Speed of lights

I remember reading some history books when i was at school. When the first steam engine was introduced, it was speculated that the passenger would suffocated at 30 mph. They also said that the speed of sound couldn't be broken. Scientists and engineers tends to like barriers they can break. Just...

    SpaceX Launch Day Thread

My first launches was the Space Shuttles. I actually built vacation around there launches. The next few years are going to be really interesting.
