The gravitational wave background of the universe has been heard for the 1st time

Hi "To get these types of high amplitudes that we are seeing, we need fairly massive black holes, and they need to form binaries quite frequently and evolve quite efficiently," said Kelley. OK we are seeing changes in the pulsar's frequencies, but if the cosmic antenna is really galaxy-sized...

Why is Earth's day 24 hours long (and how did the sun keep it from being longer)?

Hi I have read that Venus has an over-rotating athmosphere. Would it be the case of the young Earth during this sun-resonant age? Perhaps I'm oversimplifying, but an athmosphere helping the earth rotation is the best (and simpler) explanation I can think of. Thanks. Regards - Pablo

Metal clouds turn scorching hot exoplanet into the universe's largest mirror

Hi Mr. Billslugg Thanks for the reply. I have to think and rethink the first phrase, but it's only my homework. First post here makes me think and I learn. It looks it's a good forum. Thanks. Regards - Pablo

Metal clouds turn scorching hot exoplanet into the universe's largest mirror

Hi I think I have a bigger cosmic mirror: a blackhole. But you should see it from a exotic point of view: the inside. The mass of the blackhole bends the spacetime so all of the outgoing lines gets bent incoming. That's what blackholes do. So if you could look upwards from inside a blackhole...
