SpaceX Raptor Methane Fuel vs. NASA SLS Hydrogen Engine

The RS-25 just did a 600 second test. I doubt Raptor could match it. I think RS-25 could probably burn even longer. Perhaps converted to methalox with Raptors used for landing?

    Question space elevator space station

A lunar elevator is perhaps the most doable. This object is the nearest asteroid that sticks around. Now I think asteroid mining might best be done by coaxing an asteroid’s mass into cables and drawing them out for ease of transport. Now I think two elevators might be better. Imagine two...

Exactly 40 years ago this month, “Science Digest” gave us a look at the inside of a Dyson Megasphere https://pictures.abebooks.com/WHOLLYMOLY/13045307528_5.jpg https://www.abebooks.com/first-edition/Science-Digest-October-1982-Lost-Tribes/13045307528/bd

Contact with ET: How would humanity react?

I don’t think most people would care if Shostak had squiggles on a graph…I’m sorry to say.

The James Webb Space Telescope never disproved the Big Bang. Here's how that falsehood spread.

Now, I once heard it said the universe’s energy budget is close to zero somehow. A black hole gives infinite compression…and perhaps is enough to bud off another universe. I guess that means the multiverse is diesel…

Is Star Trek's Curvature Ship Really Possible?

You mean warp ship? Perhaps The closest thing to the Enterprise was this Shuttle-C type concept here—see Figure https://www.aiaa.org/docs/default-source/uploadedfiles/about-aiaa/history-and-heritage/shuttlevariationsfinalaiaa.pdf?sfvrsn=b8875e90_0 If people will stop trying to kill it, SLS...

    Can You suggest something.

Well, if we ever get a real warp ship…it will have to be ring shaped. Matt Jeffries actually drew one very early on. He was on to something
