    The emerging space technology

The UK skylon project is the most promising at present

Why does space x waste time and money with landable boosters

Indeed, you are correct. Space X and what ever the Chinese and Indians use, are basically just larger fireworks . There is a project in the UK called the Skylon Project . The aim is to use ram jets to take off like an aeroplane from an airfield and turn on the rockets at the edge of space . On...

    Skylon earth/space aircraft

I think perhaps the most exciting development is the British Skylon project which is a jet in atmosphere and a rocket ship when it reaches the edge of space. The problem with this in the past is the very high temperatures generated by Mach five travel in the atmosphere but they seem to have...

    Why do you love space?

Hi it is the future of mankind provided they do not carry their petty rivalries out there. We have to approach space as 'the world' not America/Europe,Russia/China . If we meet other races, either hostile or friendly, they are not going to want to negotiated with a single country on Earth. I...

What is the excepted theory, to explain why light travels so fast.

I think I would like Princetown to work a bit harder on that before they make such pronouncements

What is the excepted theory, to explain why light travels so fast.

Not sure of being pulled but it is a very interesting question because as you say, it requires very little force . Just supposing we were able to build a ship that could travel at light speed, it would take it months, or even years to get up to that speed and it would need a planet sized energy...

    Question Dark matter

I don't think that they have the ability to decide the percentages it is theory and that is subject to change year by year. Last I heard was that DM is inside everything where-ever there is a space i.e. inside atoms and probably even in the parts of atoms and through out space. Down the ages...

Question Was the BIG Bang-Bit Bang/White Hole an example of Quantum Tunneling?

When we speak of the universe we tend to mean what is observable. But, there could be countless universes. Looking for a logic to it. What if there was a maximum amount of compression which can be sustained in a blackhole before it blows itself apart. Then we would have have cyclical...

Boeing Objects to NASA Inspector General's Commercial Crew Report

As I understand it Boeing are also working with the British who are developing Skylon. This aircraft takes off from a normal runway and converts to rocket power at the edge of space , where it is expected to achieve Mach 25. Whereas, in atmosphere, as a ram jet, it will travel at up to 4500...

    Question Dark matter

Exactly ! As far as our physics are concerned it is not there at all, and it does not have to be because we are but one universe among eternally billions of universes in which dark matter is the only constant. I have recently published two Science Fiction novels (Dark Matter Transit) which do...

    Question Dark matter

The problem with DM could be that people try to explain it using our known physics. My feeling but of course cannot be proven is that the DM is the basic universe and, as such, it would have its own physics or no physics at all ! In the event we will never have words to explain it because it...
