A star's color is determined by it's mass and physical make up. The greater the mass, the hotter the star burns, Our star has never had the mass to burn white, blue, or even green. It was born a yellow star. In approx 5 billion years, as it runs out of hydrogen, it will transform into a red giant and shuffle off it's outer layers, eventually leaving the corpse of a white dwarf.
