Most interesting:

"The Shuttle program includes plans for 477 mission flights for a total of five (5) vehicles over the eleven (11) year period that extends from 1978 through 1988. Development, qualification and flight test of the vehicle is scheduled for a calendar period between 1972 and 1978. Design, maintenance and ground support have considered a 14 day turnaround which will include initial landing, sub-orbital flight to the launch facility and completion of launch readiness preparations."

One of those dreadful Airport movie sequels (IIRC) had a shuttle turn around (landing to launch) of just 2 HOURS !

14 days seems surreal enough. I fear from now to the end of the program in 2010 we will be lucky to see 1 flight per year.

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!
