So the years 1650 to 1850 saw the coldest temperatures in at least the last 2,000 years. When you start your observations at the end of this period what else is the chart going to show? A fair, unbiased assessment of climate change will take into account the temperatures prior to 1650, show the dip and then the rebound. Since the dip was between 1.5 and 2 deg C it explains the rebound 100% so far and which does not even approach the full extent of the dip. All the hype over catastrophic warming so far is completely in denial of the maunder minimum and a part way return to the temperatures before it.
