Just to add to that, the best way is to try and align your finder in the day time, easier to see that way

Take your scope out side and find a good object far away, a telegraph pole makes an excellent target ! (right at the top point)

Look thru the eyepiece and find the object, when you have it, lock the scope so it doesn't move.

Then, look thru the finder, can you see the same image? If not just use the adjuster screws that hold the finder and line it up so the cross hairs line up over your object.

Do this a couple of times, first with a 25mm EP (eyepiece), then, change to a smaller EP, say 10 or 12mm, and try the alignment process again.

When yopu can look thru the EP and the finder and they are both 'locked' on to the same target, you are finished.

Prey for clear skies and happy observing.
