Another near-miss

That article's over the top. It's too small to have killed us anyway, only 6-13 meters in diameter. It would make a nice fireball, and maybe drop a few small meteorites. That's about it

I just posted about this in the small asteroid thread, I was writing as you posted. There are more details there... and 0.9 lunar distance really isn't a "near" miss :) Also, it's really quite small.
