First, they were going to attempt to photograph MGS with MRO -- but left the date out of the announcement. Then when MRO missed, they were going to have MGS turn on a beacon and see if a MER could detect it. That was the last I knew.<br /><br />On a related note, does MGS have any preprogrammed instructions if it finds itself about to runout of power due to solar panel failure?
