Anyone else in the midwest see the meteor Monday night?

On may way up to the hospital to work on my car (long story) I say a very nice meteor. Very bright, alomst due east of Kansas City.<br /><br />From my vantage point it looked like it got to only a couple of inches above the horizon before breaking apart completely and disappearing.<br /><br />Very cool!<br /><br />Is there a meteor shower going on right now?

>Is there a meteor shower going on right now? <<br /><br />Hello,<br />Yes, there is a meteor shower going on now. It's the Perseids (sp?). Anyway, it's going on now until Aug. 11/12. From what I read that in late July, they will start and you'll see a few more every night. Then they peak on Aug. 11/12.<br /><br />Tiza<br />
