We failed.

I could try and put the best positive spin on it, but the bottom line is that we failed to win anything in the Lunar Lander Challenge at the X-Prize Cup this year. We made two perfect flights, and came within eight seconds of winning, but we also had three engine-damaging hard starts.

Just like last year, this is a quick media-free update. Matt will be doing a separate update with all the video when he gets back from another trip out of town.

http://www.armadilloaerospace.com/n.x/Armadillo/Home/News?news_id=350

http://www.armadilloaerospace.com/n.x/Armadillo/Home/News?news_id=351

Thanks for posting the update. And, thanks for making the attempts! I am all the happier that you guys have put the effort into this because, without you, I would not have had much to photograph and video at the X Prize this year. I went there because I wanted to recreate my experience with the DC-X "Delta Clipper." All the aircraft and air shows were nice filler, but I would not have taken that trip just to see the air show.

I am interested in taking more photos and videos of you guys. I'm fortunate that a flying team is close to me; I live just North of Dallas. Maybe some time I can pay you a visit?
