Why is it when all we here about is how women want equality that they keep separate records for men and women for something like this. It should simply be a record for the longest flight if you want true equality, not one for men and one for women.

Because until equality exists we are forced to record such things. Without noting such things we'd be oblivious to the discrimination. Things like inequality rely on people having a "lack of information" or "ignorance" to continue. Imagine how easily it would be to deny a victim of inequality without a factual history of them being discounted.

So, when we actually achieve a level of equality maybe then we can begin discarding such labels.

It would be better to remove all words referring to sex from language. Because they define difference.
Scandinavia for example has no man/woman label on toilets (its just a human blob).
Please indicate what kind of inequality is removed by keeping records of days in space for men and women.
In my opinion it is not at all a useful thing to keep setting records of days spent in space for men or women, because space travel will be in ‘artificial gravity ‘ (centrifuge effect) for longer distances. The only thing you will achieve is a ruined body.
I think its best to celebrate difference between people, instead of denying reality.
