"Outcry"? Seriously? And written twice in the article.
Scientists do not "outcry." Scientists and SpaceX work together.
Poor and emotionally loaded reporting here.
 
FYI, I routinely observe using a 90-mm refractor telescope and 10-inch Newtonian. More and more starlink satellites are obvious now when I view, 10x50 binoculars too. Many are 4th-6th magnitudes. I can see them moving by in the eyepiece, also using the finder scope too. Amateurs taking astro images show streaks across the field of view now when these satellites pass by and this is reported more and more.
