These questions and answers are from an astronomy game called Good Heavens! Something we use if the weather turns bad.

And the answers is.......False

The phases are determined by the angle with which we view the Moon. At any instant, half the Moon is in sunshine. How much we see of this sunlit half changes as the Moon revolves about the Earth. After New Moon we see a crescent phase growing to First Quater when the Earth. Moon, and Sun form a right angle. When the Moon is opposit the Sun in the sky, we see all of the Moon's daylight side - Full Moon

Total of 12 answers.....4 true....8 false
www.siriuslookers.org

TFWThom - good idea.

Are you going to ask another tomorrow?

Like does earth's shadow cause a lunar ecclipse?

Or is the slight illumination of the dark side of the moon caused by earthshine?

Oops - I see you have and I don't know the answer!
