In my opinion the less violence in an episode the better the episode. All too often in this franchise weak scripts were propped up with phaser fire and photon torpedoes.

None of the "shoot 'em up" episodes would have made my list, and for you to omit the "Explorers" episode is epic fail in my opinion. Sisko and his son build a working replica of the light sail craft that early Bajorans used to traverse space. To this day I can't read any story about light sail propulsion without thinking of that episode.

And for you to totally ignore the aliens living in the wormhole is unforgivable. How incredibly thought provoking to consider immortal aliens that live outside the time continuum with no past, present or future. Maybe it was just too complicated for you to fathom, but to me it was the most profound story arc of the series.

You can keep your wars and conflicts. Give me sci-fi that gets me to think outside the box!
