Hmmm....I didn't know a blurry, crappy anaglyphs were somehow "proof" of tapeworms and reptiles.

Some are going to eat their hats soon

Good. I hope you like sauce with yours.

Leach anaglyph is actually very, very good.

Consider the the leach ribbon is 0.3 mm in diameter.

Good to know, that the snake ribbon is 8 cm in diameter

e s
Extrasense wrote waaaay back on page 2:

Pretty "rocks" happen on Earth, but not that pretty.
Find me a picture of an Earth rock, that would be in the same class with these beauties. Anyone !
-----------------------------

Notnek2 replies:

Ask and you shall receive!!!
Don't be disappointed though- there are billions upon billions upon billions of stars, and MANY more planets than that!!!!

Everything else in the universe seems to be repeated endlessly, so why not life???

Yeah, that's an unsubstatiated statement.

"What is has been and will forever be"

Dub_ writes:

Yeah, that's an unsubstatiated statement.
----------------------------

From the viewpoint that the human lifespan is woefully insufficient to test my premises I have to agree that my last statement is unsubstantiated.

However, would you agree that the universe, as a whole, reconfigures and recycles everything?

Would you agree that the universe is a creation that continually re-creates itself?

At the risk of coming across as a creationist- I'm most definitely NOT- do you find it surprising that the chronological order of creation as described in Genesis is uncannily similar to the present cosmological view of the "beginning" and evolution of the universe?

Not 'what', but 'who'...

That would be extrasense, the one who posted the original blue (now gray?) flower topic...

Are you whacked? He showing you that rocks on Earth can and do look like life, sometimes. But they are not. Did you just use humour as a defensive tool so you do not have to actually think about that fact?

Greetings!
Dub_, Thanks for your acknowledgement of my input here. Like Extrasense, I too eagerly await confirmation that life exists elsewhere besides earth. Extrasense, I posted those images for the reasons Dub_ stated- to demonstrate that things aren't always as they seem. It is dangerous to ascribe false attributes to things, especially when they appear to be what we WANT them to be. Same goes for ALH8401- I'd like to believe that the structures seen are remnants of microbiological life. I personally feel they are, but I have to accept that the jury is still out on that issue and we'll just have to wait for irrefutable evidence of what they actually are.
Like I indicated earlier with my "unsubstantiated statements" I believe that life is ubiquitous in the universe- that it is part and parcel of the makeup of the universe and is an inevitable consequence of the chemistry and physics of the cosmos. But, again, the jury is still out on that matter- we will just have to wait for irrefutable confirmation one way or the other.

Hmmmmm???? What are those strange flashing beams outside my window...... Aiiiieeeeeee!!!!!

No, I completely and wholeheartedly disagree, things are not mostly what they look like. In fact, that's a piece of absurd logic.
