Anyone ever wondered why the Moon glows so much? It's not quite as straightforward as it seems.

The Moon doesn’t produce its own light. Instead, it reflects light from the Sun. The amount of light it reflects, known as its albedo, is about 12% of the sunlight that hits it. This makes the Moon appear bright in the night sky, but it’s not as shiny as you might think. The full Moon is around 14,000 times dimmer than the Sun. So, while it looks pretty bright to us at night, it reflects a small portion of the sunlight it receives.
