Chinese astronauts install debris shields on Tiangong space station during 8.5-hour spacewalk (video)

I think metal foams might give us good shielding. A lightweight metal foam can hold greater gas densities than a pressurized bottle. Little pressure needed. Think of water softener chemistry…. With gases. And no resins.

This is quite amazing. A high density helium barrier might detour high speed protons and electrons. And nuclei. H and O can be held like this too. Perhaps shielding for mission…. And then fuel for re-entry.
