Climate scientists uncover new record-low temperature in Greenland

Cool!

FWIW, in San Antonio, we had our lowest all-time coldest temperature on a day about two weeks ago. Of course, the planet is still warming, so don't misunderstand me. [It was, however, strangely not reported much at all, and few knew about it when I asked.] We have never had a day in recorded history below 0 F, much less -93F.

Wow, that’s cold enough to snow dry ice!
I do hate how every time there is a low temperature mentioned they have to devote the rest of the article pontificating about how this doesn’t invalidate global warming.
It’s like yeah, yeah we get it... warmer temps, climate change! Colder temps, climate change!
Wetter, climate change, drier, climate change! Every event is a symptom of climate change!

Yes, and it does seem to explain why we hear "climate change" in lieu of what we use to hear --"global warming". It's hard to say "global warming" in areas where the weather is unusually cold.

I hope the new emphasis will be on climate sensitivity, so we can address the real question of just how much one process is affecting the entire planet, especially mankind's footprint. If CO2 is much less a contributor we will all be able to breath easier, pun intended.

The Earth is a dynamic geosphere that has been changing since day one and will continue to change with or without people on it. The question is what are all the "concerned" people doing about it personally? Maybe have solar panels installed, drive less, walk more, use zero net carbon pellet stoves, recycle, lots of big mouths that think that if it is people-related then it is someone else's problem.

The real issue... because of COVID-19 the planet has been practically shutdown. NO2 emmisions had disappeared for a long while as well as smog. Does this 6-month-people shut-down have any positive effect on the planet? The effect is continuing as more of the population will continue to work from home and not commute on a daily basis.
