My question is I have read that space crews might have problems
with cosmic rays coming through ship. One early crew member reported
light flashes on back of eyes when his eyes were close.
Has this been of concern since or is it fixed? :?:

Well, yes it's a concern. However, under current conditions, there's nothing you can do to fix it. No spacecraft (or the ISS) that we currently fly can carry enough protection to stop cosmic rays. They are too powerful.

The net effect on astronauts is a slight increase in the cancer and mutation risk, with it increasing the longer you are in space. Anyone who undertakes such missions is well aware of the risk, and accepts it, or they wouldn't fly.
