Two cosmonauts began installing a new robotic arm outside of the International Space Station, completing the first in a series of spacewalks needed to activate the European-built remote manipulator.

This reminds one of how the Canadian arm was hit by something that made a hole in it and would have killed an astronaut out on a spacewalk. It could have been just a nut or a bolt. That was a warning that something awful, like the two space shuttle accidents, could happen at the ISS.
