Supposedly the plot thickens when Prosecutor Harvey Dent reveals himself to be Bats, then multiple Batmen start showing up

This movie is gonna be torture waiting for

Also; I understand some accidentally leaked photos are in the wild & can't be posted. Those sites posting them get warning letters

Hmmmm....

Big fan of some of the comic books. But never got into the movies.
Though it seems old bats can translate to a modern world better than Supes has.

They went screwy in the 60's & 70's, got their feet back with the Frank Miller graphic novels and the Michael Keaton films but then Joel Schumacher's worst production instincts gave us glaring colors & nipple-suits.

All that was missing was Adam West, Burt Ward and WHAM! POW! BIFF! all over the screen in day-glow colors

With Batmen Begins they returned to 'my' batman, meaning the early 40's and early 50's when it was gritty, dark and more realistic (I 'inherited' comics from my elder cousins & uncle). Basically he was a combination of a CSI and detective with a troubled soul.

In the early 40's he even carried a revolver.

In the early 40's he even carried a revolver.

Two, in fact. And no utility-belt, no Boy Wonder, none of it.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

Yup, and tough as nails.

That's what I loved about Batman Begins and why I have high hopes for Dark Knight; Chris & Jon Nolan & David Goyer "get it".

I used to watch the "Dark Knight Returns" cartoon (I was on the night shift, kept weird hours). It was mostly Pap, but one particular episode had Batman literally threatening someone with death, and they were merely a source of information. Robin said to him to the effect that Batman scared him, the dark and ugly part of him coming out like that.

But that really was the original Dark Knight.

Side item: Speaking of old cartoons made into good movie remakes, I'd like to see "Little Orphan Annie" made into a movie, and I expressly do not mean the "tomorrow, tomorrow" LOA.

I mean one faithful to the original cartoons, where Annie would get into situations filled with deadly intrigue, and went around with her two most lethal assasins, Punjab and The Asp.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

Want to see a great Batman animated flick? Get the uncut version of "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker". The flashback scene as originally done is disturbing and Mark Hamill's Joker vocal performance is the standard by which others should be judged.

With machine guns!

It's difficult for me to watch the latest film because at times it looks like they've photocopied some of Frank's pages from Year One. Ok the studio own his work, but it just feels messed up.

60's and 70's. Isn't this the Neal Adams era? Ok not just Batman, but an incredible story teller.
