Detecting Gravitational waves

Gravity is due to warping of space time, and so, that specific effect will be measured at some point. I post because I wonder what they will do after they detect a gravitational wave. Given that it is a mass effect on the space time continuum, what could come afterwards, if anything?</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
