Do you want to spend a year inside a mock Mars base for science? If so, NASA wants you.

I still don't understand why they don't run these simulations down in Antarctica. I'd think the dry valleys near McMurdo Sound would be ideal for simulating Mars' environment.

How much do they pay? All the ideology painted around the inspiration will not pay for my lost time and bills. If the stuffing is impressive, I'll be willing to live in this prison for the duration described.

Even an entry level job should pay $25/hour for any STEM degree worth anything. With time-and-a-half for overtime, you come up with a number around $125k per year, minus whatever NASA wants for the room and board they're providing. I doubt it pays that kind of $$'s. Of course your money's no good on other planets in any event.
