In an articled today in SDC about supermassive black holes:

"Called active galactic nuclei, or AGN, these black holes have masses of up to billions of tons compressed into a region about the size of our solar system."

GEE billions of tons in the size of our solar system, HOWEVER do they do that. How about: Masses of up to billions of SUNS in a region about the size of our solar system!!!!

To be fair, looks more like proof that proofreading isn't always 100% reliable. But, thanks to RobNissen's catch, Space.com has made the correction. Which is one of the good things about feedback from readers to editors. Every decent newspaper or journal has a space for corrections.

If you check the link provided in my earlier post, 'tons' has now been replaced by the proper wording.

Again, good call, Rob!

That's kinda cool. I don't know that I've ever been responsible for a correction before.
