I'm hoping it's a good one. I think comming up are three episodes that deal with the Post "Enterprise" Vulcans, as compared to the Vulcans of "Enterprise" Timeline. Supposed to have TPau.

I wonder what they'll do with NX-02?

If NX-02 doesn't have red railings, I'll be disappointed. I want some more color in my starships.

Well, I dunno I think tonights episode was somewhat flat. Enterprise gets a re-fit though, and I'll betcha cappy's girlfriend is the cappy of NX-02

Red Railings, Red turboshaft doors, and those cool 60's plastic swivel chairs.

I think the female captain thing is another inconstency with TOS. In one episode, Kirk and some woman exchanged bodies because that was the only way for a woman to become captain. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

I think it was good to have an episode on Earth that wasn't a time-travel tale.

I was surprised that T'Pol got married. But then, there was no other way out for her. The 7-year itch would kill her if she didn't get married, and Trip would have been killed in the challenge if she went that route.

Is it just me, or does she look anorexic?

That was a nice soap opera. Not. Ok, ok... I guess after the Xindi conflict, the crew needs a little unwinding, but this better only be temporary!

I thought the doc's face puffing up was cool, but one has to wonder why we haven't seen that before. After all, I think he has been in defensive positions prior to this, hasn't he?

I'm not complaining....there has to be some admin episodes to clear up all the background issues...
I'm thinking if NX-01 refit will get all the upgrades (12" better polarised plates...). I remember in season 1 malcom came out with this force field design...I'm surprised this was not developed further in the first generation shield system...
let's see how this develops next week....will t'pol actually get married?

To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before...

Live Long and Prosper

In the origianl Star Trek, there was the episode of the Romulin war bird that wandered into the neutral zone and nuked some posts with a weird weapon. The rommies didn't have warp drive, nobody knew they were vulcanoids, and the one crew members grand daddy had fought the romulins in a war without view screens and without warp drive. So, I think there is still some damage that has not been repaired to the time-line.
They may have had view screens, but if you don't allow ship-to-ship visual communications, it is possible to fight a war without seeing the enemy.

I watched the latest episode again last night. I think even if T'pol did go through the ceremony. Tripp is still gonna get some trim. I sure wouldn't mind hooking up with that Vulcan...
Don't let your sig line incite a gay thread ;>)

Consistency doesn't bother me. I like the format of using know characters that haven't been overly developed or trivialized to show Science Fiction plots.

The eopisodes of trek tha standout for me are all science fiction plots. The Borg, the dinosaurs from Voyager, many of the old Trek's. The space operat stuff is just fluff, not to be remembered. This new Trek seems to be 100% fluff.
I'm just glad there's no holodeck. I hated holodeck episodes.

The holodeck was cool in Next Generation, and Quarks "holosuites" were a good idea. But the overuse and stupidity of the holodeck on Voyager was just dumb. Hell I'm surprised Voyager didn't "Reconfigure" the holodeck into a temporal portal to return to Earth to prevent Voyager from getting sucked into the Delta quad...
Don't let your sig line incite a gay thread ;>)

I've never seen humans beat the stuffing out of Klingon warriors in weaponless combat. Dr. Soong's augments are really something. I wonder what they plan to do next, now that they've been reunited with their 'father'.

Last nights episode was good.

Dr. Noonien Soong was Data's creator. Dr. Arik Soong is this cool evil(ish) scientist. I like this.

How much time is there between "Enterprise" and "The Next Generation"?

**SPOILER**

At the end of the episode, Dr. Soong told the Augments, "Now its time for thousands of you brothers and sisters to be born. Lets go get them." I think they are going to Earth.

They may be flying human pogosticks with sledgehammers for hands but they're complete snobs. I guess now we get to find out what they have in mind for the Klingons. I was wondering how it would play out with them now that Duras was dead.

nope...they're going to that place where all the virus and genetic samples are kept...I suppose many of the unborn super human embryos are there...

To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before...

Live Long and Prosper

i wonder how the 2 soongs are related...
would have made the continuity complete if Kkan was the one who rebelled and it was this episode that captured them and cast them adrift on the Botany Bay where Kirk found them years later. then I remembered if this was the case, then Kirk would have this info in his databanks but he didn't...so probably Khan is an even earlier batch..

To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before...

Live Long and Prosper

Ack! I can't believe I forgot to tape last night's episode (I was out with friends). Hopefully I don't forget to catch the re-run on sunday, otherwise I'm gonna have to turn to good 'ol suprnova.org.

Yes I just took another look, some place called "cold station 12" is where Arik Soong worked. They keep infectious diseases and genetically enhanced embryos. Perhaps Soong is planning on taking both when they get there.

You didn't miss much.

Brent Spiner was his usual droll inimmitable self, but the end result was that he only tended to make the ENTERPRISE cast look even MORE amateurish.

Not only that, but the plot was the same depressing mixture of old dredged up storylines and characters (green slave girls and remote-control pain implants) that Star Trek has devolved into.

I don't know...Data and his bizzaro brother once tried a similar ploy a long time ago in STNG when they collaborated in trying to inculcate conscious awareness into a new breed of Borg warriors. But the inevitable result dissolved into ridiculous scenes.
