I saw a show on" Nova" on fractal geometry yesterday! Amazing stuff!! I had never heard of it before, but I am a carpenter and barely understand euclideon geometry. Part of the show explained how antennae designed using fractal
geometry were able to receive many more types of RF and were much more efficient.

My questions are, was the VLA(very large array) configured using fractals? And where else in astronomy and atrophysics is fractal geometry used?...................................Thanks.......Al

No, the VLA is not based on fractal geometry. What it does (interferometry) is not helped by that.

AFAIK, No current radioastronomy arrays use that.

Fair enough, thanks for your reply MW................................Al
