Not unless they're going to re-cast Steve Austin in the campiest film since Plan 9 From Outer Space. (scoffs) Jim Carrey as The Six Million Dollar Man. (shakes head sadly) I hope not.

Found this after some googling...its an old article though.

October 22, 2003 — In a boon to headline-makers everywhere (any guesses on how they will report Carrey's salary and first-weekend box-office grosses?), Jim Carrey is planning to bring "The Six Million Dollar Man" to the big screen, with the help of Todd Phillips ("Old School").

Based on the Martin Caidin novel "Cyborg," the movie version of the Lee Majors TV drama has been in development for many years. Initially conceived as an action film, it was fast-tracked as a comedy once Carrey signed on to star.

Carrey's current box-office popularity was no doubt a factor in the decision. "Bruce Almighty," his last film, has made over $470 million in the worldwide box office.

"The teaming of Jim and Todd is the perfect creative combination to launch the franchise," said Dimension Films co-chairman Bob Weinstein. "Todd is a director with proven instincts, and Jim is a superstar."

Imagine his eyebrow arching as he uses his zooming vision... while he's actually going "Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch..." They'd save loads on special effects.

Mere precedent is a dangerous source of authority.

-Andrew Jackson (1767-1845)
