I vaguely remember reading Carl Sagan postulating the best location for astronomy would be a locale that took maximum advantage of our suns/solar system gravitational affect on light (radiation). He called it gravity lensing and located it a good distance away. I now we take advantage of the effects of gravity lensing right here on Earth, but this location sounds like it would allow far superior radiation collection. Does anyone now the specs (distance/dimensions) of this lens?
