But it doesn't belong in the SSA forum. perhaps the best fit is in the Technology subforum within the Life Sciences forum.

Wow, I never saw anything like that before in my life. I tried growing a crystal in the lab in high school, but that didn't turn out to be more then about 4 inches along a string.
