Somebody might have asked this question before, but what are your comments on this website by Ray Tomes? :

http://ray.tomes.biz/maths.html

I realise that it's very far from mainstream, but it has a certain elegance to it.

My own native pseudoscience alarm has not gone off yet with this, but having said that, it's far outside my areas of expertise.

Is anyone willing to comment?

Had a quick read but will have a closer look.
This sort of ties in with my theory of universal "vibrations" and parallel universes in a way.
We live in one "standing wave" universe and there are a multitude of similar universes just a small phase shift away. The larger the phase shift from us the greater the difference between what happens in those universes.
This is how I would explain all those "phenomina" such as ghosts, ufos etc. A temporary "in phase" occurences between our universe and one close to us in phase.
A very interesting article.

I agree Alpha_Tauri.

It is an interesting, intelligent article, but is leading away from real science.

The pseudoscience alarm indeed has gone off & is extremely loud with it.

I have asked for this to be moved, not because of your original post, but because of where this is leading.

Perhaps this belongs in the 'P' forum.

Andrew Brown.

"I suddenly noticed an anomaly to the left of Io, just off the rim of that world. My problem with "Thoeries". Every now and then I see 'here is my theory', 'my theory of everything', etc. Let me explain why I have trouble with these 'theories'.

A few months back I came upon a website with titles like "My ultimate theory of everything". There he explained how the universe is created through blackholes and wormholes, how energies amd matters are trnasforming from one to another.... blah blah lah.. you get the picture. All he used are all currently available scientific discoveries.

Then it occured to me. If this person were born, say in the 17th century, before the discovery of general and special relativity, blackholes, hubble's constant, he would have come up with a perfectly plausible, scientifically sound theory without using any relativity, blackholes, expanding universe, etc. In other words, all these theories about the universe are based on contemporary scirntific discoveries. Obviously they can not use any discoveries to be made in the future.

Come to think of it, religions are nothing more than contemporary science. And we all know how scientifically advanced human societies were 2000 years ago or in the BCs while living in the caves,.

Earth is Boring
