Hello, neighbor! See the Andromeda galaxy like never before in stunning new image from NASA's Chandra telescope (video)

Great composite image!

“The telescope most famously used by Vera Rubin and her colleague Kent Ford in their groundbreaking studies of the Andromeda galaxy (M31) was the
2.1-meter telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory in southern Arizona.

Rubin and Ford used this telescope, equipped with a highly sensitive spectrometer built by Ford, to measure the radial velocities of stars and gas clouds at different distances from the center of the Andromeda galaxy.” CG (ChatGpt)

For some reason I thought they used a much smaller scope, perhaps initially.
