Ironically, republicans – or at least a great deal of the NASCAR philosophy – drives Hollywood. All the art house, bleeding-heart sensitive house-by-a-pond-with-a-staircase movies are greenlighted because the studio made enough with the season's Willis/Arnold/Stallone/Smith blow-everything-up pictures.

The Indy crowd is scraping by without the studios, and they're becoming a force (look at Michael Moore), but right now, the paradigm still works with action blockbusters fueling the industry.

Mere precedent is a dangerous source of authority.

-Andrew Jackson (1767-1845)
