How many are concerned about the Shuttle-Orion gap?

Zen, if you look at the actual pol you can see that by far the greater majority of us here are absolutely NOT for such a gap, and depending strictly upon the Russians. Yes, the Russian equipment IS good equipment, there is no doubt of that. But we wanted them to become capitalistic, so just what is to stop them from charging us an even greater price than the cost of the shuttle flights? Just what savings will we then have in getting up to the ISS by shutting down the shuttles?

After all, charging just what the market will bear is certainly a capitalistic trait!!

And even that is only going to be while we continue to have good relations whit the Russians!!
After that, then what?
