How should we do if the universe ends in a big crunch?

Last week's episode of "Through the Wormhole" discussed some of the most popular theories concerning the beginning and the end of the universe. The most recent and contoversial has to do with "brane" theory and that our universe was created when two branes bumped each other and we are living in the ripple that ensued. There is still no concensus as to whether our universe will stop expanding and begin to contract on itself or whether it will just keep expanding until nothing is left. Personally I favor any theory that has the process repeating itself for eternity.
