Ok here is good one for the US Air Force Spacecraft to be ready within 45 minutes to deliver a payload to a target half way around the globe.

Using several modified missile silos in the Continental USA....

Use a SRB derived vehicle that can carry a small DARPA designed plane/spacecraft that can carry your 1000lb to 10,000lb payload of tungsten rods for delivery anywhere in the world. You can either make this craft a one or two manned piloted vehicle. Or you can remote pilot it like some might prefer.

We have plenty of SRB's that can be used for such a mission for the USAF. And we can always build more.

There you have it and this system can be up and running within 2 years.
The hypersonic missiles that will be online in the late 2020s will be very interesting. They could be launched from the US mainland and hit anywhere on earth within 2 hours. The US could target 1000s of them at an enemy state in the first phase of a war and totally decimate its military infrastucture without resorting to nuclear weapons and killing millions of innocent civilians.

I wonder if any one has thought of a large Titan IV type vehicle, kept on the ready for quick launching, and the payload is 8 to 16 cruise missles? Each with there own targets.

Re-entry portion of Titan IV gets to lower atmosphere, and decels to near subsonic and releases cruise missles which then have considerable range of their own. You could mess up all the airfields in a smallish country all at once. Cluster munitions on the cruise missles or the fuel/air warheads and you could really do some damage.

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!
