Guys
Did anyone catch the latest press release by Interorbital on their $1Million funding scheme from a German TV company. (Vision one)

They have been given finding to build a rocket to go orbital, the rocket will carry anyone's names for $1 on a micro chip!

It all seems interesting and should boost the private sector flight plans! And offer an alternative to SpaceX no?

Anyway if you fancy a read there is a article at interorbital.com and an in depth interview at http://spacefellowship.com/News/?p=3806

Any thoughts? All positive no?

"There are two low-altitude test launches planned. We must test the guidance system, launch infrastructure, ocean deployment, telemetry, recovery, staging, and many other rocket and communication systems. When these ocean trials are successful, we’ll go for orbit carrying at least one satellite. We’re working through the licensing process, and hope to begin the test flights in the 2nd quarter of 2008, with the orbital payload launch sometime before the end of the year. This schedule, of course, all hinges on a constant flow of funding."

Yeah. Sure. SpaceX is such a bunch of slow-pokes.
I wish them luck, but I don't take these announcements seriously.
