SDC article, preparing for crew swap

Anyone know what's up with the small yellow hard hats the crew is wearing? I saw this on the STS 114 mission. When did this tradition start?

"SCE to AUX" - John Aaron, curiosity pays off

"It was in honor of the latest construction mission (STS-118) addition of external ISS sections. "

Nope. A year ago the Exp 15 crew got excited about their little construction project of relocating the PMA3. They wanted to be dressed properly. I think it was also a way to say thanks to the training team where the joke, for this crew, started.
