Largest comet ever observed bumps Hale-Bopp from pedestal

Probably no way it could unexpectedly become naked eye brightness, too far away. They can go the other way though. Remember Comet Ison in 2013? It was said it could become magnitude -11.6, nearly as bright as the full moon. Went around the Sun and disappeared. Could not be seen by the naked eye after perihelion.
I have seen Ikeya-Seki, 1965, magnitude -10; Halley, 1986, +2, Hale Bopp, 1995, -1.0. We are about due for another good one.
